GRACE Project UK Promoting awareness on genetics and diversity in genetics research Welcome to the GRACE page! We're passionate about all things genetics related.

For the outcomes of genetics research to truly benefit the health and well being of all, it needs to reflect the diverse society we live in. Therefore, our aim is to increase diversity in genetics research by encouraging knowledge and participation in traditionally underrepresented groups. We do this via community events and other engaging resources such as videos and outreach material. We want to make genetics fun and truly accessible to all. We also conduct research to try to understand current attitudes towards genetics and genetics testing in different communities. We do this because we want to understand the barriers to knowledge and participation in research. For more information, please visit our website. The GRACE project immsensely enjoyed Easter Monday at Queensway Methodist Church raising awareness about The Generation Study in Milton Keynes. In addition to this, the team enjoyed great food and some fun dancing! 😁

It was a real pleasure to collaborate with the Open University on the GRACE Project.

Their mission is to increase diversity in genetics research so that it is more reflective of our society – more ethical, inclusive and community-driven.

This is also about giving communities a voice in shaping precision medicine.
