We had lots of fun on Friday when we had some very special visitors to Priory Common. A string quintet - Toscana Strings and a professional ballet dancer Laura Tye visited us to perform ‘Monkey Puzzle’ and ‘Wind and the Willows’. Pupils had a wonderful time and learnt a lot about string instruments as well as how music can be used to tell a story. Pupils at Priory Common were truly inspired and I think we have some new budding musicians and dancers amongst us.

We are well into the new term now and all the children have settled well and working super hard in all their learning. We started the term off with learning about the Zones Of Regulation which is an approach that helps children recognise their emotions and develop self regulation strategies - the children and adults use this regularly throught the day. Please ask your child to tell you about it!

What an end of term it has been!

We have continued to work really hard, to be resilient learners and make the most of everyday in school.

We have had sports day, sponsored event, a picnic with family and friends and even a theatre production to entertain us all!

We have said hello to lots of our new Reception children, but also some goodbyes to our Year 2's. We will miss you all but we know you are more than ready for your new adventure and are going to thrive in your new schools.

Thank you to everyone for making our last term so spectacular!

Have a lovely summer break and we will see you all for more learning and adventures in September!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated money, brought raffle tickets and came to our 75 years of the NHS charity picnic this afternoon. It was lovely to see so many people there. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

This week we had a very special delivery of five duckling eggs. After patiently waiting, three ducklings hatched over night on Thursday. The children were so excited to meet them on Friday morning. During the day, the last two additional ducklings also hatched. We hope some of you managed to get to a glimpse of them at home time.
