I had such an amazing response when I asked about this, so the class is officially happening! 😊
I’m running a 30-minute, live, low-cost Zoom class to help children manage exam nerves, pressure and stress, with practical strategies they can use before and during their 11+.
It’s great for children sitting exams soon, but also for younger students who can start practising these skills now so they become second nature over time.
📅 Wednesday 26th August, 6pm
💻 Live on Zoom
💷 £3.99
🎥 Recording included if you can’t make it live
You can find all the details and book here:

Would love to see some of your children there! 😊
Hi parents! For those of you with children sitting exams this year or next: would you be interested in a super low-cost, live Zoom class all about managing exam-day nerves and stress?
I’m incredibly passionate about helping children feel calm, confident and equipped with practical strategies to manage stress when it matters most. Having worked in the 11+ space for years, I know just how much nerves can affect a child on the day, and I really don’t want any child to underperform simply because they don’t know what to do when those nerves kick in.
The session would give them simple, practical tools they can actually use before and during their exam to help them feel more in control.
If you’d be interested in your child joining, comment YES 😊
Inside my lessons, there are three phrases you'll hear from me over and over.
They've changed the way my students answer, think, and problem solve.
"I love that you gave it a go" is one of them.
It doesn't matter if the answer's wrong or right here.
I want them hearing that trying counts, before we even get to whether it's right.
Then there's “Why do you think that.?”
If they're right, it makes them actually feel confident about the answer instead of just getting a tick and moving on.
If they're wrong, I (and they!) usually find out exactly where their thinking went sideways.
It’s way more useful than just correcting it and hoping it sticks.
And when they ask me a question and aren't sure what to do with it, I'll ask "what do you think about it" before I say anything else.
It’s a small thing, but it stops them handing the problem straight to me.
Save this for the next time you’re tackling homework together.
