Today, Poppy class are cooling down reflecting on the year and ready for the summer in the outdoor are🌿☀️

It has been an exciting day in Poppy class, the children went to the local shop to buy some goodies to eat with their family this afternoon for the Teddy Bears picnic 🧺

The children in Poppy class tried peaches for the first time today and they all loved trying a new fruit🍑

During art week, we invited, Felicity Shillington, a local artist into school to create a ‘Care tree’installation in the front entrance hall. 48 of our most gifted artist from across school were invited into the workshop to assist her. We are so grateful that this project has been paid for by the PTA and we cannot wait to reveal it to you - once it is up on the wall!

Poppy class have been enjoying all the different activities during our Art week this week. We have experienced leaf rubbing, leaf painting and printing, still life flower drawings and water colours, also helping to create a flower meadow.

In last week's special World Book Day assembly, we launched a new and exciting reading challenge. We want children to share their love of all things books and reading by making themselves part of a book in our BookFace Competition.

Year 5 had an amazing day today celebrating world book day! We shared and chatted about our favourite books this morning and then had a story session with Paul and created our own bookmarks this afternoon!📚📖

A huge thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles who came into school this afternoon to read with their children. The classrooms were jam packed, and it was so lovely to see children enjoying stories with you all. It was a successful afternoon all around!
