As part of Music Co-op's national 'Learn to Play' event run by 'Music for All' they will be hosting instrument trial sessions jointly with the Milton Keynes Music Music Centre on Saturday 7th October.
This event will provide a free opportunity for children to come and have a play on a range of musical instruments guided by their team of teachers and for their families to then be able to discuss possible lessons should they be interested in finding out more.

In the hall yesterday, we had a rocking good time in our singing assembly. We had Mr Dave Forster from Dave Forster Drum Studio`s come in and explore drumming with us.

Did you know Brooksward has a school lottery? This lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference for our children!
It's a fantastic way to bring the community together, in partnership with our school, and at the same time give something back. We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children - all of the money raised will go towards improving the school experience for our children, focusing on our STEM facilities, wildlife garden and our playgrounds.
How it works:

Our Summer Fayre is going ahead as planned today, we won't be letting this weather spoil our fun!
Please see the attached maps for where everything will be during this afternoon's fayre - we have moved as many stalls as possible inside so you stay nice and dry! For the food vendors outside, we will be putting up a gazebo outside so you don't get wet whilst you are waiting.

Exciting news!
Brooksward is a finalist in the STEM Award category at the Milton Keynes Education Awards 2023!
We are incredibly grateful for the nomination and that the hard work of all staff involved in our STEM work has been recognised: a huge congratulations to Mrs Dearn, Mr Macdonald, Miss De’Ath and Miss Swain!
The awards take place on Friday 22nd September - keep your fingers crossed for us!

This afternoon, we were treated to a fantastic performance of The Secret Garden by M&M Theatrical Productions!
The production was fantastic, enjoyed by children and staff alike and a great way to end a busy week.
