Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors took an important step during the last half-term by learning what it truly means to be an ally. πŸ’¬πŸ’™

Through hands-on training, they explored how to listen without judgement, stand up for others and create a culture where everyone feels safe and valued. We talked about the importance of supportive language and the impact of small actions, in order to make a big difference.

We are so proud of these students for leading with empathy, courage and kindness. Together, they are helping to make our school a place where everyone belongs. 🌟

Students - Would you like to be an Anti-Bullying Ambassador? If yes, then please speak to your Year Team and fill out an 'Interest Form'.

May has been a month filled with brilliant achievements, uplifting moments and contributions that truly showcase the heart of our school community.

πŸ€The beginning of May opened with a huge weekend of action as Basketball England’s Junior Final Fours took over Manchester, with three MK Breakers teams - all featuring strong 5D Trust representation - competing at the pinnacle event of youth basketball in the country. Coach Adam has provided a fantastic round-up of the events.

Our U14 Girls were crowned National Champions, with A Skaarup (SBE), K Temenugova (SBE) and E Pepprah (HAZ) on court, supported all season by A Hamilton-Healey (SBE) and K. Munyaviri (HAZ), and guided by Assistant Coach Paige, our Girls Academy Head Coach.

The U14 Boys battled their way to a superb third place finish, with M Cvilikas, E Okpara, A Lo and E Saxon (all SBE) playing key roles and L Butler contributing from the bench, led by Head Coach, M Timmins (EV) with myself assisting.

Our U16 Girls rounded off the weekend as runners up, with C Ibegbulam (SBE) and S Elnur (HAZ) competing, while A Dinu (SBE) continued her recovery this season.

Across all three squads, the performances in Manchester underlined just how exceptional their seasons have been, competing at the highest level, in a packed venue, in front of large and passionate crowds. A huge congratulations to every single player, coach and staff member for your outstanding work and achievements. πŸ’–πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–

Year 10 enjoyed a brilliant Geography fieldwork trip in Hunstanton 🌊last week, where the coastline became their classroom. Despite some mixed weather, students threw themselves into their GCSE data collection, investigating coastal processes, erosion and the unique geology that makes Hunstanton such a distinctive stretch of shoreline.

A real highlight was meeting a local palaeontologist, who shared fossils discovered in the famous red and white cliffs. Seeing millions of years of Earth’s history right in front of them brought their learning to life in a way no textbook ever could.

And of course, no trip to the seaside would be complete without a little treat - students warmed up with fish and chips and hot doughnuts, adding a touch of classic coastal charm to a day packed with hands‑on learning and discovery 😊
