Have Fun Western Dancing in MK

We had 12 new dancers join us for this evening's New Dancer event. With the support of 26 angels, we had 3 squares and a rectangle dancing and having fun.... We look forward to welcoming them back and dancing with them again in the weeks to come.
Thanks to everyone who helped make it a great night - we really appreciate it.

Western Dancing - new dancer evening
An enjoyable, relaxed evening meeting friendly people while dancing a mix of "Cowboy" dances including Square, Line, Barn and Contra dancing to country and pop music.
We dance 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Tuesdays at the Wavendon Community Centre (the original hall, opposite St Mary's Church in the centre of Wavendon Village).
Everything is taught from scratch, so no prior knowledge needed.
Come alone, as a couple, or with friends.
Normal, comfortable, street clothes and shoes – no special gear needed.
Good for the body & the mind. Gets you out of the house, expanding your social life, and getting some gentle exercise, all while HAVING FUN..
Suitable for adults of all ages: especially those over 40.

At just £5 per person per session why not come along and give it a try – once you've been to a New Dancer Evening, you'll want to come back every week for more fun and exercise .... and you are welcome to do so.

2 more new dancers, making it 7 joining us (and still regularly dancing) so far in 2023, adding to the 5 in late '22 and 12 in the year before that. 24 new dancers in all since Covid, plus 4 more returning to square dancing....
Who said it was impossible to recruit?

This Tuesday, 14th March, will be the last opportunity for new dancers to join us until May.... Due to a holiday in April, we will be asking new dancers who cannot make it this week to wait until Tuesday 16th May.
We will be dancing each Tuesday each week (except the 25th April and 9th May) for the enjoyment of those who have joined us already.

Wasn't it nice to have 6 new dancers on Tuesday - have spoken to them all and hope they will all be back this week, and a few more...
