Everyone at Bushfield had an amazing time yesterday celebrating our winning Community Coin reward with a very special visit from the ice cream van! π¦
The playground was filled with excitement as pupils and staff chose from a delicious selection of ice creams and refreshing ice lollies.
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as everyone enjoyed their well-earned treat together. Rewards like these are a fantastic way to celebrate the positive choices, teamwork, and community spirit shown across our school.
A huge well done to everyone for earning the community coins to help make this reward possible - we're already looking forward to seeing which exciting Community Coin reward will be chosen in the new term! β¨

And just like that... another amazing school year has come to an end! π
What a year it has been! We've shared so many smiles, celebrated achievements big and small, learnt new things, and made memories that will stay with us for years to come.
We couldn't be prouder of our incredible children and we're so grateful for the unwavering support of our wonderful families and dedicated staff.
This week has also been a time of mixed emotions at both schools as we said a fond farewell to our fantastic Year 2 and Year 6 pupils. We are so proud of each and every one of you and all that you have achieved during the past years.
Now it's time to swap classrooms for sunshine, alarms for lazy mornings, and homework for adventures! βοΈπ¦
We hope your summer is filled with laughter, fun, adventures and precious moments with the people you love.
Stay safe, make wonderful memories, and enjoy every minute of your well-deserved break.
We can't wait to welcome everyone back in September for another year of fun, friendship and learning.
From all of us at Bushfield & Wyvern Schools... have the most fabulous summer! πβ€οΈ

Congratulations to our lucky Reading Vending Machine winners! β¨π
A huge well done to all of our lucky raffle winners who had the exciting opportunity to choose a brand-new book to keep from our very own reading vending machine, Jeff! π
Here are just a few of the pupils who had their names drawn by their class teachers for their effort, enthusiasm and hard work in reading, whether at home or in lessons.
We hope they enjoy getting lost in their new stories and continue to develop their love of reading.
Happy reading, everyone! πππ

As part of their Geography topic, our Year 4 pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit to the local river, where they got hands-on with their learning.
They played a fun game to explore how erosion and deposition shape our rivers before testing the speed of the river by floating dog biscuits downstream and timing how long they took to travel between two points.
Next, they took part in a river scavenger hunt, spotting and identifying different river features along the way.
It was a brilliant day of outdoor learning, teamwork, and discovery.

What a fabulously bright and colourful morning we had for our Colour Run! πβοΈ
From the very first splash of colour to the final burst of energy, there were smiles, laughter, and rainbow-covered runners everywhere you looked!
The cooler temperature couldn't have been more perfect as our children ran, skipped, jogged, and danced their way around the course, getting brighter and brighter with every lap. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, encouragement, and team spirit on display, with everyone cheering each other on and making unforgettable memories together.
A huge well done to all of our amazing participants for throwing themselves into the fun with such enthusiasm, and thank you to everyone who helped to raise funds. They will be counted and announced in due course.
What a brilliant way to celebrate being active, raising money, having fun, and adding a splash of colour to our day! πππππ§‘β€οΈπ

Year 4 have been busy putting their engineering skills to the test this half term!
They explored a range of boats, investigating how they are designed, constructed and, most importantly, what makes them float.
Using exploded diagrams as inspiration, the children carefully planned and designed their own motorised boats before bringing their ideas to life. They then applied their science and design technology knowledge to build an electric circuit, complete with a motor and switch, to power their creations.
Now for the moment they've all been waiting for... next week their boats will take to the water for their sea trials! π
Will their designs stay afloat? Will their motors power them to success?
We can't wait to find out and celebrate the fantastic problem-solving, creativity and teamwork Year 4 have shown throughout this exciting DT project!

On Friday Preschool visited Bushfield School for their class trip. We were lucky to see 3 types of owl and a falcon. We followed a trail in the woods to find the Stickman and had a great time bouncing on a bouncy castle. We had a lot of fun!
