Our lovely PTA have been working hard organising all of our fantastic prizes for our Summer Fete raffle on Friday. Can you believe we have ❗️over 60 prizes❗️ to be won in the raffle this year? From gift sets, games night bundles, chocolates and puzzles to spa sets, cat towers and even a one night hotel stay!
Don't worry though, raffle tickets can still be purchased on School Gateway so you've still got time to get involved 😁

Don't forget Tuesday 2nd June is the first day back for our final half term of the academic year and it's also non-uniform day! 🤩 This is in exchange for Summer Fete donations of chocolate, cuddly toys, anything Pokemon themed, unwanted games, gift sets and bottles of bubbles or alcohol. All donations are welcome - the more the merrier!
🎯 Remember that raffle tickets can be purchased in advance of the Summer Fete via School Gateway.
💝We also know that our fabulous GLPS families have connections to a wide range of companies - if any of these could offer special days out, vouchers or donated items as prizes, please contact the office FAO the summer fete PTA team.💝

⭐️Primary SATs Week - Our Sparky Year 6s⭐️
🕗Monday 11th May - Thursday 14th May🕗
As our sparky Year 6 children approach SATs week, we want to take a moment to recognise just how far they have come. It is a chance to celebrate everything they have learned, the interests they have fostered and the ROOTS they have grown throughout their time at GLPS.
We're confident they will do their absolute best this week and that they will be proud of what they achieve, because we are incredibly proud of them. Thanks to all our GLPS families who have helped shape them along the way.
Don't forget Year 6 children can come to SATs breakfast from 8:15am from Monday to Thursday this week to help start their days off in school nice and early being calm, well-fuelled and with their friends.

The 2032 summer olympics in Brisbane, Australia may come a little too soon for some of our Great Linford athletes but we loved seeing the enthusiasm which they applied to their Mini London Marathon! Here is just a selection of the photos from the day 🏃♀️🏃

Congratulations to all the runners from our GLPS families and friends who took part in the London Marathon today! Remember that children will be taking part in their sponsored TCS Mini London Marathon in school on Monday. Children can come into school wearing appropriate running clothes in their house colours. Each lap will earn a point for their house 🔵🟢🟡
If your child has raised sponsorship money, remember it can be brought in and handed to your class teacher. All funds raised will go towards sports or playground equipment for the children. Let's get those running shoes ready! 🏃🏽♂️🏃♀️🏃🏾

We are still recovering from being blown away with the fantastic 📚World Book Day📚 outfits that the children came to school in. The children had the chance to celebrate their favourite books as well as rotate around different teachers, completing a range of activities linked to the staff's books choices. Reading is important all year round not just on World Book Day, but it was lovely to come together to celebrate in such a creative way!

Thank you to everyone who came along as part of our Books At Bedtime event after school on World Book Day. We were thrilled to see how many families came along sharing stories together to celebrate the importance of reading. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a warm and memorable celebration of reading together.
