Staying safe on our roads isn’t just a skill — it’s a lifelong habit. It is crucial to learn key strategies for helping children navigate streets safely and confidently, from practising journeys together to teaching them how to choose the safest crossing points.

We’ve collaborated with THINK! to offer real-world advice on issues like the dangers of parked vehicles, reversing cars and mobile phone distractions — it’s an invaluable tool for parents and educators who want to help young people travel independently without compromising their safety.

A Gentle reminder that tomorrow Thursday the 23rd April 2026, we will be celebrating our amazing planet and the incredible life and work of Sir David Attenborough.

We invite all students to come to school dressed in either something blue and/or green or as an explorer! It’s a wonderful opportunity to show our support for the environment. We kindly ask for a £1 donation towards planting, helping to ensure a brighter future for our planet.

Children are increasingly using smart devices from a much younger age. Therefore it’s essential we talk to our children about how to use them safely. There are many positive benefits to the new technology at our disposal these days – but there are plenty of downsides too. As an educator, parent or carer, it’s important that you understand these risks and how you can take steps to protect young people against them.

In this guide, you'll find tips on a number of potential risks such as location settings, fake profiles and screen addiction.

While the short-term benefits of energy drinks can be attractive, it's not wise to ignore the potential health risks. Consuming these beverages regularly can have negative effects on the heart and blood pressure, and even cause dependency on these products to keep users’ energy at a ‘normal’ level. Factoring in that many shops have issued a voluntary ban on selling these drinks to under-16s, the rise in children and young people using energy drinks is a cause for concern.

If a child is anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated, or heading towards a wobble, try Rainbow breathing, this is a lovely way to slow everything down without needing loads of words.

Rainbow Breathing is one of my favourite calming tools because it’s simple, visual, and it gives the body something gentle to do while big feelings pass through. 🌈

If a child is anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated, or heading towards a wobble, this is a lovely way to slow everything down without needing loads of words.

You can use it at home, in the classroom, in the car, or right before bed — and it works brilliantly for helping young people come back into their bodies when their brain feels too loud.

Facing unpleasant feelings can be a challenge, even for adults – let alone for children and young people, whose minds are still developing. To many youngsters, a mistake in an exam, a hurtful word or even losing in a game can sometimes feel like the worst thing in the world, causing them to react accordingly.

However, this isn’t always an effective way to deal with difficult emotions or life’s setbacks, so it's important that parents and educators are able impress a healthy approach to these feelings on the children in their care. This guide offers you expert tips on how to instil emotional resilience in young people, helping them to learn from unexpected feelings and situations – and to process them in a mature, effective manner.
