🍂 October – I WONDER 🔎

October is a lovely time of year to stop and notice the changes happening all around us. 🍁 As the days get cooler, the leaves begin to change colour and fall, conkers and acorns appear, and we start to see and hear lots of signs that autumn is here.

This month, our children will be exploring “I WONDER” as we encourage them to be curious, ask questions and discover more about the world around them. Through stories, play, outdoor experiences and lots of exploring, we’ll be looking closely at the changes that autumn brings. 🌿🍂

Why not explore together at home?

Take a walk around your local neighbourhood, visit a park or make the most of any outdoor space you have nearby. Look for colourful leaves, conkers, acorns, little creatures and interesting things you might normally walk past.

We would love to see what your children have found or feel free to send us some pictures of your adventures and discoveries.

Summer Term has come to an end 2026 we have had a lovely time and here at footprints we would like to say a big GOODBYE to all our leaves wishing you all lots of luck and happiness xx Enjoy your Summer Holidays and we will see you in September xx
