I've been working on my fabric pumpkins in preparation for our next Circle of Seasons Art & Craft Collective on 1st October!

I love the Autumn! There are so many beautiful textures and colours to see in Autumn. However, it can be hard seeing the days get shorter, flowers dying back and switching on the central heating again.

That's why I think it's so important to gather with others, to make our homes really cosy and to invest some time in our own learning and creativity. We need that little bit of TLC to see us through the colder months.

Its time for what the Danish (happiest country in the world) call Hygge! Cosiness, friendship, safety. Create your own Hygge with beautifully slow crafted sustainable decor, that will be cherished for years to come.

Gather with a wonderful bunch of people and have fun learning a new skill which is totally beginner friendly!

We'll have a lovely range of colours and patterns to choose from, making your pumpkin totally unique, just like you.

As usual we'll have the brilliant Kraken Cakes NI providing a sumptuous carrot cake to welcome in the Autumn.

Where: Boom Studios, Bangor
When: Thursday 1st October 7-9pm
What shall I bring? Just yourself!
Investment: £18

We had a really fun time at Flavour First today in Donaghadee. I'm most excited to eat the crumble that my son's going to make with our fresh picked rhubarb!

Sunflowers are such a beautiful sign of Late Summer coming into Autumn. I love to decorate my home for Autumn using gorgeous colours inspired by what is growing and decaying outside.

At our September Circle of Seasons Art Club we're creating beautiful fabric collages that give a taste of the colours and textures of the season. You are so welcome to join us!

My garden may not to be most photogenic but it's been a great source of joy to me this Summer. Last year I made the decision to only grow perennials. It was a lovely thing then to have everything pop up again in the Spring.

As a newbie gardener what advice would you give on how to care for perennials (mostly hydrangeas, geraniums and daisy type plants) over the Autumn and Winter?

Any suggestions for other good perennials to grow in pots?

I was really lucky to have a few days in Newcastle over my birthday. Thank you for all your birthday messages!

It's been a different kind of Summer but so wonderful in its own way. I finally had to give in and drastically reduce my work load to help me manage my fibromyalgia in a more balanced way. I was really living from flare to flare but forcing myself to keep working because I didn't want to let people down and also.. .I love my job and the people I work with.

I started using a stick to help me with my balance and fatigue. It's actually been great but a bit of a mental hurdle. I kept asking my husband if he still fancied me 😂

It's actually been really nice to be more present and enjoy my kids and take life at a slower pace.

I've decided to just run my Circle of Seasons class in Boom once a month for the timebeing. I'm also thinking about running online workshops and wellbeing through creativity courses.. but we'll take it one step at a time.

I'd love to hear about your Summer ❤️

Another relaxing project based on the photo on the right. I'm always fascinated by the imperfect symmetry of nature. It's so beautiful! This was made using stem stitch, straight stitch and French knots using a leftover fabric scrap. I'll be putting together a few kits for this. Just pm me if you're interested.

I can feel it in the air—we're heading into late summer. 🌻

Has anyone been to see the sunflowers at Flavour First in Donaghadee yet? I'm hoping to get over once my car is back on the road.

I've absolutely loved creating this little project. It's made from a mix of recycled, hand-printed and hand-painted fabrics, combined with slow, relaxing stitching. There wasn't any particular pattern or plan—just the joy of doodling with thread and seeing where it took me.

This piece will soon be available as a kit, so watch this space! 💛
