A little update

Unfortunately, due to ongoing medical issues and treatment, I have been signed off work until further notice. This means that both tutoring sessions and SafeSpaces groups will remain paused for the time being.

I am hoping to be able to return in September, but I will keep everyone updated as and when I can.

I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and really appreciate everyone's patience, kindness and understanding. Please also send my warmest wishes to the children – I genuinely miss spending time with them and hope to see them all again soon.

Good morning all,

Unfortunately, due to on-going medical issues, the doctor has signed me off of work for the next 10 days to allow for further tests, treatment and recovery. This means that all tutoring and group sessions will not be possible during this time.

I sincerely apologise for the delay in correspondence over the last week, and for letting all current and potential new clients down.

I aim to be back to work the week beginning 24th August and very much look forward to picking things up from then.

We're really sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.

🌞 Summer Holiday Update 🌞

With the last week of term in front of us, if you haven't already done so, could parents of our tutoring children and young people please let us know whether you would like any sessions over the summer holidays, along with your preferred dates. We're currently planning our summer timetable, so the sooner we know, the better! 😊

💜 Stay, Play & Chill

Unfortunately, we won't be running our usual all-day holiday sessions this summer. Instead, we plan to continue with a weekly one-hour Stay, Play & Chill session - likely earlier in the day. Days and times will be announced later this week, so keep an eye on the page!

The weather is looking lovely today and, with much more manageable summer sunshine, we're pleased to be back on this week! 🎉

Come and join us for a relaxed, friendly Stay, Play & Chill session:

🕔 Today | 5:00pm – 6:00pm
📍 St John's Community Centre, Mildenhall (IP28 7NX)
💷 £5 per child

Our calm, SEND-friendly group offers child-led fun with arts & crafts, colouring, board games, Play-Doh, toys and more. Parents and carers are welcome to stay for a cuppa and a chat, or leave their child with us (consent forms required).

We're really looking forward to seeing all of our fabulous regulars again this afternoon, and we'd love to welcome some new faces too! 💜

🌞 Important Update – Stay, Play & Chill (Today) 🌞

With several local schools announcing early closures today due to the extreme heat, we are currently considering whether to cancel this week's Stay, Play & Chill session as a safety precaution.

Our session takes place during the hottest part of the day, we do not have air conditioning available at the venue. In addition, there is very limited shade in the outdoor area, making it difficult to provide a cool environment for children and young people.

The wellbeing and safety of our families will always come first. We will be contacting the parents and carers of our regular attendees later on this morning to gather their views, including how their child is likely to cope in the heat and whether they would still wish to attend.

We will make a final decision and provide an update on our social media pages by 1:30pm today.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we assess the safest option for everyone.

We're looking forward to seeing our wonderful regular families later today for another relaxed, child-led session. 💜

As always, we're delighted to welcome new children, young people and families who would like to join us. Whether your child enjoys being creative, colouring, playdoh, building with LEGO, playing games, or simply spending time in a calm, SEND-friendly environment, there's no pressure to participate in anything they're not comfortable with.
