The Met Office has issued a Red Extreme Heat Warning for Wednesday and Thursday this week. The Wessex Learning Trust has been considering both government guidance and the local contexts of our schools and have taken the decision to close all Wessex learning Trust schools.

Our school along with all Wessex Learning Trust schools will be closed to all pupils and staff on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June 2026.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our entire school community for making our Orange Day so special. From the incredible sea of orange across the school, to the kindness, generosity and enthusiasm shown by everyone – it truly was a day to remember.

May half term was a busy one at Stoke St Michael Primary School, with 36 windows and 11 doors replaced as part of our ongoing investment in the learning environment.

Out with the old single glazing and in with modern double-glazed replacements, helping to create warmer classrooms in winter, cooler spaces in summer, and a more comfortable environment where students can thrive.

We also installed solar toughened glazing in classrooms to further enhance comfort and energy efficiency across the school.

A fantastic improvement for both pupils and staff at Stoke St Michael Primary School.
