Talk Time! Up in the beautiful wilds of Morecambe Bay in May to meet a lovely group for a jaunt through the life and times of....who? Botanist and explorer Sir Joseph Banks, that's who. Thanking Silverdale gardeners for an enjoyable evening.
AND over to Derbyshire in June to speak to gardeners in Ripley. A fun afternoon yesterday. I think we all had some floriographic surprises!

'Names, Places, Meanings - Snapshots of Social History'

Everyday 'identity words' are rooted in our social histories and landscapes. Concealed in names and addresses are glimpses into past worlds and people. Contrasts and surprises... yet parallels with modern life too. Join me in a little light-hearted exploring, because these intriguing insights deserve to live on.
