Elm Class had a fantastic time on their class trip to Sensation Sensory Gym! The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the climbing equipment, swinging, sliding and playing in the ball pit. They loved spending time in the sensory room, where they explored the bubble tube and interactive floor, and there were lots of smiles as they experienced the blower machines. We enjoyed our picnic on the bus before heading to the park. As the weather became very warm, we decided to keep our visit there short and returned to school, where everyone cooled down with fans, water sprays and a relaxing sensory session. It was a wonderful day full of fun, exploration and lots of happy memories!

Norway Spruce, have been to The Ice Cream Farm on our class trip. We were all very excited and had lots of fun. We enjoyed playing and splashing in the water and sand. We also did lots of exploring and climbing in Honeycomb Canyon. We then had lunch back on the minibus before we went to Daisy’s Garden where we loved going down the slides. To finish our busy, but very fun day we went to the Ice cream parlour where we enjoyed different flavours of ice cream, such as, chocolate, raspberry ripple and cookie dough. It was delicious!

Horse Chestnut Class had a fantastic day on their recent school trip to Sensation Gym, followed by a picnic and playtime at a local park.

The children had an amazing time, especially in the beautiful warm weather. At Sensation Gym, they were able to explore a wide range of climbing and sensory equipment, including monkey bars, ninja rings, swings, and bouncers. These activities helped to develop their coordination, balance, motor planning, and physical confidence while having lots of fun.

The children also enjoyed spending time in the light room, exploring the stretchy resistance tunnel, and interacting with a variety of visually stimulating resources. These experiences encouraged sensory exploration and engagement in a fun and supportive environment.

After an exciting morning at the gym, we headed to the local park where everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch together. The children then had the opportunity to play on the park equipment, run around with their friends, and burn off some extra energy before returning to school.

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, exploration, and new experiences. We are incredibly proud of how well the children participated and represented our school throughout the trip.

Mountain Ash had a brilliant opportunity of a residential for their end of term trip. The children all arrived to school on Wednesday 17th fully packed ready for the days ahead. We began our trip by travelling to Moorland Home where we would be staying for two nights. When we arrived the children had the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and play on the outdoor equipment before lunch. In the afternoon, we visited Hollingworth Lake for a nice walk, a visit to the sensory garden and a play on the park before returning to Moorland for our dinner. After a very successful first night, on the Thursday we went on a day trip to Heaton Park. We enjoyed a play on the park, a picnic lunch, a visit to the animals and a big walk! After a very busy day we returned to Moorland home for dinner. On Thursday evening the children had lots of fun washing the school minibus which turned into an impromptu water fight! We then showered, got into our pyjamas and had a movie night with popcorn and hot chocolate. On our final day we packed up and headed to Wythenshawe Park where we went to Simply Cycling. The children had lots of fun trying out the different bikes with their friends and most definitely worked up an appetite for a picnic lunch and a small play on the park before returning to school. The children had a fantastic time away and there were many firsts for our children! They were a real credit to their families and we are so proud of how amazing they all were.
