Today, our children showed such kindness and care when we discovered a little hedgehog who had ventured into our playground.

Miss Ogden gently moved our prickly visitor into the forest area, where we hoped he would be safer. However, by the afternoon, Mr Hedgehog had made another appearance!

We looked for advice online and learned that if a hedgehog is repeatedly seen out during the daytime, it can sometimes be a sign that they are unwell and may need some help. We've shared this information in case any of our families ever find themselves in a similar situation at home.

We then contacted Sue, a local hedgehog rescuer who cares for hedgehogs that may be feeling a little poorly. We're pleased to say that Mrs Chambers will be taking the hedgehog to her after school, where he can be checked over and receive any care he might need.

We are incredibly proud of how thoughtful, gentle and compassionate our children have been today. It was a lovely real-life lesson in caring for our environment and the wildlife that share it with us. ๐Ÿฆ”

We are incredibly proud of all the year 6 children who attended the recent PGL residential this week at the beautiful location, Winmarleigh Hall. They were a credit to the school, showing excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and teamwork throughout.

The trip was packed with exciting activities, including raft building, archery tag, orienteering, survival skills, problem-solving challenges, vertical and wall climbing, and even a giant swing. We even spent one evening around the campfire, sharing stories and enjoying marshmallows.

It was wonderful to see the children challenge themselves, support one another and grow in confidence. They truly had an amazing time, it is an experience they will never forget.

๐ŸŒโœˆ๏ธ Year 6 Around the World Adventure! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
Whilst some of their friends were away, the rest of Year 6 set off on an exciting trip around the world right here in school! The children have been exploring themes from a variety of countries โ€“ from France and Italy all the way to Japan and Mexico.
Yesterday, the spotlight was on Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
The children had a fantastic time making their own puff pastry pizzas, creating vibrant Italian-themed mood boards, and getting creative with their designs.
In the afternoon, they teamed up with their friends in Year 3 to design their very own Italian football teams, using the colours and themes from their mood boards โ€“ what a brilliant collaboration! โšฝ๐ŸŽจ

And they're off!๐Ÿ˜

Y3&Y6 have set off on their visit to RHS Bridgewater for a busy day exploring the beautiful grounds. The sun may not be shining but the children were in high spirits as they boarded the coach this morning armed with packed lunches, raincoats and sunhats (just in case!โ˜€๏ธ)

We hope they all have a fabulous day!๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฟ
