As tempting as in can be to create a blanket shade, you may be doing more harm then good!

**IMPORTANT SUMMER REMINDER**⚠️🔥☀️
Keep baby safe - Avoid Summer Stroller Danger as IRELAND to see temperatures 25°C! 🌡️😲
Covering buggies,& strollers with a blanket to shade baby from the sun can lead to ROCKETING TEMPERATURES and possible HEATSTROKE! 🔥😥

COMPLETELY covering over a stroller with even a thin blanket can create a furnace like environment! If there is no air being circulated under the blanket, temperatures can rise FAST! 📈🌡️

Signs of heatstroke could include..

⚠️ Hot, red or dry skin
⚠️ Rapid pulse
⚠️ Restlessness or lethargy
⚠️ Rapid, shallow breathing
⚠️ Vomiting and unconsciousness

How can you help avoid heat stroke?

✅ Stroller umbrella shades are a great option for keeping baby out of direct sun, but not letting heat build up. Or a specific cover shade such as the Dooky shade which will allow air to circulate.
✅Try to keep baby in shade when outside and check to make sure that he’s staying cool during any essential car journeys.
✅Dress baby in lightweight, breathable cotton preferably, loose-fitting clothing.
✅If the temperature is especially hot, keep your baby inside if you can.
✅Give little one more fluids than usual on hotter days. You could even try breast milk ice lollies if you are breastfeeding!

**AND REMEMBER - all babies under 6 months should avoid direct sunlight completely! ☀️❌

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Hoping you all had a lovely Easter break!

We would like to give you all a little update today, along with some more information about us and what we are planning with the setting, as we appreciate there hasn't been too much information given as of yet.

Now if you are a resident of Middleton I am confident to say, you must be familiar with Long street Methodist church and its beauty.

'Long Street Methodist Church and Schools are a stunning Arts & Crafts masterpiece and part of Middleton’s Golden Cluster of architecture. These beautiful buildings are a blend of rustic arts and crafts and elegant art nouveau design and a real ‘must see’ for lovers of arts and crafts.'

We are beyond lucky to have use of this historic building to bring what we hope and aspire to be 'OUTSTANDING' childcare for your child.
As you can appreciate with such an extraordinary building there are certain permissions and applications, that have to be made before we can start our work and put up signs ect. We are expecting these papers back within the next few weeks and once we have that green light it will be all systems go!
We have a team of people ready to be let loose and start working on our plans!
Which will entail turning the large "church hall" into two separate play rooms ( all while sticking to extremely strict listed building rules), constructing a secure entrance and reception area and transforming 1/3 outdoor areas to start. Amongst other jobs here and there, our Nursery Manager and admin team will be setting up all our paperwork ready for your child's start in September.

Its going to be all systems go as soon as we get the green light and we cant wait to take you all along with us on this journey of officially becoming HAPPY BEEGINNINGS DAY NURSERY!

Throughout July and August we will be holding open days for you to come along to and have a look around, get a feel for the building and what we have to offer you and your child.

We are taking enquires for places now ready for your child to settle and start in September. Just send us a message and we will add you to our waiting list!

We cant wait to meet you all and start your child's journey here with us!
