Will you be joining us for the next Monthly Meet Up? This month we'll be at The Cross Keys Inn in Guisborough.

The theme this month will be books - please feel free to bring some of your favourites along with you.

These relaxed sessions are a great opportunity to practise your French in a friendly, supportive environment. I will provide topic sheets with useful vocabulary and conversation prompts to help guide you.

All levels are very welcome, so please don’t feel shy - it’s all about having a go and enjoying the language together, and bring your friends along!

The meet-up is free to attend - I simply ask that you support our wonderful hosts by purchasing a drink while you’re there ☕

I'd love to see you there! 💙🇫🇷

Reviews are like a sneak peek into what others think. They're a business's secret weapon to attract new people - in my case, learners.
Have a read of Pat's kind words and get in touch if you'd like to join my classes.

Did you know?
In France, on May 1st, it's customary to offer a sprig of lily of the valley (in French, they are called 'muguets') to loved ones. 💙

This tradition started in the 16th Century. At that time, the feast of love was not on Valentine's Day, but on May 1st. Princes and Lords would make wreaths of flowers and offer them to their beloveds.

It was King Charles IX who received some lily of the valley on May 1, 1560 and decided that henceforth all the ladies of the court would receive this flower with white bells every year. The King was just 10 years old at this time and the government was run by his mother Catherine de Medici in the role of gouvernante (governor of France).
