Whether you're just starting out or have been singing for years, our lessons are tailored to suit you and your goals. We teach all ages and abilities in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Album of the Month 🦈

This month’s pick is Count Your Blessings: Repented by Bring Me The Horizon.

I absolutely loved the original Count Your Blessings back when I was in college. I remember sitting on the bus thinking I was the coolest kid around with this blasting through my headphones.

It was one of my first introductions to more extreme metal, and it completely opened the door to heavier music for me.

It’s been on repeat all month. If you were a fan back in the day, or you’ve never given this era of BMTH a proper listen, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

If you’ve been into Middlesbrough Music Academy recently, you may have spotted our brand new record wall in the waiting room!

To kick things off, we’re starting a new little feature here at MMA, our “Record of the Month”.

This month’s pick is Paul McCartney’s brand new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.

I’ve had it playing all week, and there are some absolutely brilliant songs on there. My personal favourite has to be Home To Us, the first vocal duet between Paul and Ringo Starr since The Beatles split!

We’re officially open in our new Middlesbrough Music Academy premises! 🥳

Over the past few weeks we’ve been busy moving everything across, building the new teaching rooms and getting the space ready for lessons, and we’re really pleased to finally have the doors open.

Don’t worry though, we haven’t gone far, just across the car park!

The new studio gives us a much better setup for teaching, with dedicated lesson rooms, a larger live room and a more comfortable environment for students and tutors alike.

A huge thank you to all of our students, parents and tutors for being patient and supportive during the move. We’re really excited for what’s ahead in the new space.

We’re now fully up and running and look forward to welcoming everyone in over the coming weeks.
