Middlesbrough Town Hall Performing Arts provides quality training in dance, voice work, singing and acting for 6–14-year-olds.

The sessions aim to build confidence, ensemble, and performance skills, encouraging students to get involved and try new things whilst meeting peers who share the same interests. We offer a range of performance opportunities for our MTH Performing Arts students to perform in showcases for their friends and family at Middlesbrough Town Hall, as well as other parades, events, and celebrations across Middlesbrough.

We have two groups for our students – Sparkle and Shine.

Sparkle is designed for young people who are newer to Performing Arts. It is a smaller sized group, for young people to really develop their skills in dance, singing and acting.

Shine is designed for young people who have more experience and a good foundation of skills in dance, singing and acting. Young people will be familiar with learning dance choreography, remembering lines and song lyrics, and be confident to work more independently within the group.

Here’s Ava holding up the flags strong! You can just about see Lucy and Aaliyah too!

Arms of steel after holding those flags for the duration of the parade, but it was ALL so worth it!

We even improvised some vocals along with ’s drumming which was super fun!

If you look closely behind our Robin you’ll see members of our Theatre Company and one little member of our younger group lifting the flags and the groups creations ❄️

Our Theatre Company Member Ruby undertook quite the transformation into the snowman ⛄️❄️

Everyone watching the parade loved her! (And well done for Carey the giant snowman head it’s not easy!)
