Fresh off his excellent swim in the lake last week, Harry Bell (Big Jacket) has chosen August's Swimmer of the Month to be... Leo!

This is how it went.

Me: Big Jacket, who do you want to be SOTM?

Big Jacket: Leo

Me: Ok, no problem. How come?

Big Jacket: Because he works really hard and is cool.

Me: Gotcha.

Well done, Leo! You're doing two of life's most important things right now: swimming well and being cool.

Did you know we offer beginner lessons for children aged 8+?

We know that by 8 years old, children learn differently, think differently and probably don't want to be hanging about with 4 year olds in their lessons! Whilst our stage 1 lessons (for children aged 4-8) are focused on water confidence through imaginative play, our older beginner sessions are catered for a cooler crowd 😎 So if your older beginner is excited to get started on their swimming adventure or even if they're really nervous, our small group sessions with our instructors in the water are the perfect place to begin.

Please get in touch to book your space!!

In 6 hours time James and Harry are getting in this cold lake for an hour, followed by Fin and Ryan, followed by Libbi and George, followed by Kettle and Ellie. Then repeat 6 more times over 24 hours!

They are carbed up and ready. This is in aid of Level Water, a charity who provide match funded swimming lessons for children with additional needs. They help many families on Teesside at the Unicorn Pool as well as other sites and nationwide. It's a really great organisation and they need as much help as they can.

Team Borocuda currently have raised the most amount of money for this event (thank you!), but there is plenty of time to still donate and enter our competition to win free swimming lessons.

We'll do lots of updates as they progress, don't forget to cheer them on!

In just over a week, we are running our biggest competition in years! Two teams of coaches are swimming a 24-hour relay swim in a lake to raise money for Level Water. If you donate and pick a team to win, you could win one of these fantastic prizes, which are worth a LOT of money!

1st prize: One year of free swimming lessons!
2nd prize: Four months of free swimming lessons!
3rd prize: One month of free swimming lessons!

We have raised over £1000 so far for Level Water, which is fantastic, but this is how many people have actually entered and picked a team to win:

Nineteen entries for team 1. Ok, good. Respectable.
Only THREE entries for team 2!!!! 🤯🤯🤯

That means if the race was tomorrow and team 2 won, those three entries would have won all three top prizes! Your chances to win something so valuable are insane, so get on this NOW!

Pick, pick, pick a team! If your team wins, you will go into the draw to win.

All money goes to Level Water, who help fund special swimming lessons for children with additional needs.

How can you win that epic prize?

Step 1: Follow the JustGiving link in the comments

Step 2: Donate £10.50 for one entry into the competition. £10.50 pays for a swimming lesson for a child with additional needs. PICK A TEAM.
OR
Donate £15 for two entries into the competition. PICK A TEAM TWICE OR BOTH TEAMS.
OR
Donate £21 for three entries into the competition. £21 pays for two swimming lessons for children with additional needs. CHOOSE A TEAM 3 TIMES, OR SPLIT IT UP.

Step 3: Make sure your name is publicly visible on the donation and say if you are choosing Team 1, Team 2 or if you have bought multiple entries - both!
