What a special time we had celebrating our wonderful pre-school children and everything they’ve achieved throughout their journey at nursery.

We’ve loved watching them grow in confidence and independence, develop new interests and build special friendships.

It has been such a privilege to be part of their early years journey, and we’re incredibly proud of each and every one of them.

As they head on to their next adventure at big school, we’d like to wish our graduates the very best from everyone here at Rosedene Hemlington 💙

We've been busy at Forest School! 🐛🐌🪱

Forest School is a cornerstone of our curriculum, offering endless benefits for personal growth, confidence, learning capacity and enthusiasm. It is all about encouraging children to use their imagination to explore, learn and discover their natural surroundings at their own pace.🌿

This time last week, we were celebrating our nursery's 20th birthday in our newly refurbished forest school area! 🥳

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate with us, and to all the children, families and staff, who have been a part of our journey over the last 20 years.

It was truly a special day and we are so grateful to everyone who made it a celebration to remember 💚

Sunshine and healthy choices ☀🍓

We've been making the most of the beautiful weather this week with lots of safe outdoor play in the sun. Alongside our adventures outside, we've been continuing our monthly focus on healthy eating, encouraging children to enjoy nutritious foods and learn about making healthy choices.

We love seeing the children learn, grow and thrive through fun, active experiences every day! 💛

Celebrating 20 years of service! 🎉

We're proud to recognise our nursery manager, Holly, as she celebrates 20 years of service at Rosedene Hemlington.

Over the past two decades, Holly has been an integral part of our nursery's journey, demonstrating unwavering commitment and passion every step of the way.

On behalf of everyone here at Rosedene Nurseries we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Holly for her outstanding contribution over the past 20 years. We are incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished and invite you to join us in congratulating her on this achievement! 💙👏🏻

Stop, look and listen! 🚦

As part of Child Safety Week, last week, the children have been learning all about road safety. Through stories and practical activities, they explored how to cross roads safely, recognise traffic lights and understand why holding hands is important. It was wonderful to see them confidently putting their knowledge into practice!

🌻 Growing Little Minds in Our Garden 🌻

Our children have been spending lots of time exploring our nursery garden, carefully planting sunflower seeds and learning how to nurture them as they grow. The children loved getting hands-on with the soil, watering their seeds, and talking about what plants need to thrive.

This wonderful gardening activity encourages children to develop their understanding of the natural world, build fine motor skills, and learn about responsibility and patience while caring for living things. It also supports communication, teamwork, and curiosity through outdoor exploration. 🌱

🍃 Nature Café ☕

Our children enjoyed taking part in our Nature Café activity, using mud, water, leaves, and natural materials to make mud pies, cakes, and potions. The children used their imaginations to create their own “recipes” before sharing their muddy treats with friends in the outdoor café. 🌿

This activity encouraged imaginative play, communication, teamwork, and sensory exploration while supporting our little ones creativity and confidence outdoors.

At Rosedene Hemlington, we celebrate Earth Day every day by embedding forest school into our curriculum. Our little ones spend meaningful time outdoors, exploring, discovering, and building a strong connection with nature through hands-on experiences.
