Solar panels are coming to Middlesbrough College ☀️
From Saturday 6 March 2026, work has began to install Solar PV panels on the Wave Roof of the Main Building and the South Roof of the STEM Building.
It is an exciting step in making our campus greener and generating clean energy on site.
You may see scaffolding around the STEM Building South Roof and a materials compound on the plaza outside the Main Building entrance. Contractors will also be moving materials between the plaza, Clock Car Park and Dock Street.
There may be short local restrictions to pedestrian routes while equipment moves through these areas, so please follow any signage in place.
We are proud to be investing in a more sustainable future for Middlesbrough College. 👏

It's the start of National Careers Week (NCW) - the celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. 👏
This week, many employers, ex-students, and others will visit the college to discuss life beyond education and the choices available for students' futures. This will also include workshops and going outside the college to local universities and workplaces.
This is all with the aim of enhancing careers guidance activities at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education.
We can't wait to share everything that will happening!🤩

📢 Important Notice 📢
Today, Cleveland Police will be visiting our campus to take part in a planned and fully supervised training exercise with our Public Services students and tutors.
Throughout the morning, you may notice an increased police presence or hear some activity around the site. Please don’t be alarmed — this is all part of the scheduled exercise, and there is no risk to any students or staff.
You may also see police vehicles in public areas around the college. Again, this is simply part of the exercise.
We’re proud to be working closely with Cleveland Police to give our students valuable real‑world experience.
If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a member of staff or contact Student Services.
