π€ Big News for Next Year! π π₯ β¨
I've decided to do some volunteering to teach British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf Awareness to frontline heros.
My goal is to deliver training to the people who need it most, including: Emergency Services: Fire service and police station teams.
Healthcare Professionals: Hospital staff, palliative care, and end-of-life care.
Deaf awareness in these settings is about breaking down barriers and reducing isolation. When someone is in emergency or facing end-of-life care, being able to communicate and feel understood is absolutely vital. Even knowing basic signs can bring immense comfort and completely change a patient's experince.
I'm currently busy preparing everything for next year, and I can't wait to get started. I'll be sharing updates on my journey, basic tips, and what I'm learning along the way right here.
Thank you very much to everyone who has supported me so far. If you have any connections in these sectors, or if you're interested in learning a few signs yourself, drop a comment below. π¬π Please share π
