Yesterday's leaver's service had it all, songs, music, poetry (YR), sign language (Y1), dancing (Y2) and some lovely examples of charity and helping others from our Y2 parents. We could really see the individuality of each of our special Y2 children yesterday but each one brimming with confidence and ready for their next steps. We also enjoyed the duck race and an amazing effort from the PTFA at the Summer Fete in the afternoon, what a day!

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our leavers service in church this morning and duck race this afternoon followed by the summer fete! ☀️

This afternoon our YR children also enjoyed an end of term summer barbecue, a mini forest school graduation, cooking marshmallows and creating lavender sleepy bags 😴

Our Y1 and Y2 children have enjoyed a gorgeous forest school morning including lavender dolly crafts, a summer BBQ, smores and lots of lovely outdoor play!

On Friday we had a very important visitor, local MP Rishi Sunak visited Marwood and took part in some sports challenges (as much as he could do with his bad leg!) and chatted to Mrs Walton about the pressures facing small rural schools. He was also there to celebrate our achievement of being chosen as one of only 4 schools in the country to be a SIAMS case study after our recent inspection 🌟
