This is Emilia. Emilia completed the Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Pedagogy at NCCE National College for Care and Education as an opportunity to build on her level 5 studies, continue learning, and make positive impact to the early years sector.

On Saturday evening, I had the pleasure of celebrating Emilia’s honour as a finalist for Early Childhood Studies Graduate of the Year at the Nursery World Awards.

Emilia opted to study towards our Level 6 programme as it gave her the opportunity to learn and develop while remaining in work. Since undertaking the qualification, Emilia became promoted to a Nursery Manager and is now the youngest Ofsted Inspector - with an aim to continue making meaningful contributions to our sector through her strong eye for quality, natural empathy, and nurturing personality.

Emilia is creating the ripples that will make the waves for babies, young children, and families 💙

A moment of pride: our student at NCCE National College for Care and Education has reached the finalist stage of the Nursery World Awards for the category: Early Childhood Studies Graduate of the Year.

Supporting Emilia through her qualification was so much more than a pleasure. Watching her present her dissertation research at an online conference related to the nutrition of young children. Seeing Emilia soar in her career - from practitioner, to manager, to Ofsted Inspector! A true inspiration; We am so proud of you, Emilia!

We cannot wait to celebrate with you at the Awards tomorrow!

Emilia is the first graduate of the DfE F&R TQUK Level 6 Diploma in Early Childhood Pedagogy; a qualification Dr Sam Ballington researched, developed, and launched in response to the vocational gap from Level 5 to postgraduate study. Emilia demonstrates first-hand what higher-level study can support our Early Years students to achieve.
