The Northern School of Art - National Saturday Club - Art and Design A visual documentation of the National Saturday Art Club at The Northern School of Art

The National Art&Design Saturday Club gives young people aged 14–16 the unique opportunity to study art and design on a Saturday morning at The Northern School of Art for free. As well as 30 weeks of inspiring classes in areas ranging from painting and drawing to sculpture and stop-frame animation, Club members visit London's best museums and galleries and exhibit work in their own Summer Show at Somerset House. They are also given the opportunity to attend an inspirational Masterclass with one of the UK's foremost artists or designers. Art&Design Saturday Clubs provide members with an array of transferable skills that are greatly sought after by employers in the UK’s thriving creative sector and beyond. The combination of imaginative thinking and technical skills that is at the heart of every Art&Design Club’s programme is the foundation for a diverse range of careers, including animation, architecture, photography, illustration, graphics and fine art.
