Luke recently completed the Bespoke Employer Lead Programme, (BELP) Retail course which consisted of 8 days training gaining a certification of completion and attending an interview with a local Middlesbrough Business at the end of the course. Luke successfully received employment from his interview and is thankful for the course and Mick, the course leader, for providing him with the relevant skills and information to get him Retail Ready!

The course was spread over 2 weeks and consisted of training on: Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Fire Safety & Evacuation, Customer Service, Safeguarding & Prevent, Visual Merchandising, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety , COSHH, Stock Rotation, Work Place Skills & Professionalism and IT & Employment Support including Interview Prep. Luke states that the training really benefitted him in going into employment and the retail environment.

Our next course starts Monday the 5th October at am at the Employment Hub, Cleveland Centre, Middlesbrough, TS12NW for our Hospitality Course. You will receive the relevant skills and training to get you Hospitality Ready with employment support and a guaranteed interview with a Middlesbrough Business which could result in permanent employment!

Our Engagement Officer has been leading the Trailblazer information and sign up session in the Hub 👩🏼‍🏫

The Youth Guarantee Trailblazer is a great option for 18-21 year old's who are not currently in work, education or training and are looking for their next step 🪜. Trailblazers offers a wide range of pathways to support you, one key pathway of Trailblazers is the option of a 5 month paid work experience with a local employer in your desired field.

We have got a security paid placement pathway coming up as shortly and our NHS Foundation Apprenticeship opportunity is now live!

Another great pathway is the sector based training we can offer and there is an amazing opportunity for those wanting to work in the construction industry👷🏾. This will be be a 5 day FREE training course (subject to eligibility) where you will receive industry recognised training including: CSCS (Test included), Working at heights, IPAF Cherry picker/Scissor Lift, and confined Spaces Medium Risk.
