Montessori Pre-School Green Lane

Montessori Pre-School Green Lane Welcome to Montessori Pre-school nursery, Green Lane! Follow our page for regular updates, information and an insight of our day to day life!

We provide flexible childcare from birth to 5 years, including full day care, after school and holiday club and transport to and from local schools. We also have spaces available for golden tickets and government funding. Here at Montessori Pre-school we believe the first 6 years of a child’s life is the most important. During these years, children absorb more information than they ever will. We believe this learning style develops children’s confidence and concentration levels, which lays the foundations for positive attitudes and will help your child reach their full potential. 🌍 Little actions can make a big difference.

This World Cleanup Day, we're reminding our little ones how important it is to care for the world around us. 💚

From putting rubbish in the bin and recycling to looking after our outdoor spaces, simple everyday habits can help children learn about responsibility and caring for our planet. ♻️🌱

Little steps lead to big words. 📚✨

This International Literacy Day, we're celebrating all the little moments that help build a child's early literacy skills.

Talking together, listening, sharing stories, singing songs and even those first little scribbles all play a part in developing communication, language and a love of learning. 💜

🌙☀️ There’s a solar eclipse happening tonight!

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking some of the Sun’s light. It’s a brilliant opportunity to get little ones curious about space and learn about something a little different together.

Most importantly, never look directly at the Sun. Normal sunglasses aren’t enough to protect your eyes, so children should only experience the eclipse with a grown-up using appropriate eclipse viewing equipment. 👀

The BBC has a great child-friendly guide explaining solar eclipses and how to view them safely:

It's a huge night as the Three Lions take on Argentina in the World Cup semi-final. We're sure there will be plenty of excited young supporters watching along with their families and cheering England on every step of the way.

Let's hope it's England celebrating at full-time and booking a place in the final! 🤞

Did you know that eligible working parents may be able to access funded childcare from as young as 9 months old?

With up to 30 funded hours available, childcare support can make a real difference for families. If you're unsure what funding you may be entitled to, it's worth taking a few minutes to check your eligibility through the Government childcare service.

Find out more and check your eligibility here:

Wishing England the very best as they take on Mexico in the Round of 16! ⚽🏴

With all the talk surrounding the altitude at the Azteca Stadium, this promises to be a fascinating challenge. We're looking forward to cheering the team on and seeing how far they can go.

Good luck, England! 👏
