Transitions College is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, committed people to join our exciting new SEND provision supporting young people to develop their independence, confidence and employment skills through a Supported Internship.

We currently have opportunities for:

⭐ SEND Provision Manager & Co-ordinator for Supported Internships

📍 Northallerton & surrounding areas
⏰ Full Time | 37.5 hours per week
📅 Term time + 2 weeks
💷 Actual salary: £33,500–£40,000
💷 FTE: £42,000–£50,000
Starting salary dependent on experience.

We’re looking for an ambitious and dedicated leader to manage the day-to-day operation of our new Northallerton provision and help us deliver outstanding opportunities for young people with SEND.

⭐ 2 x SEND HLTA / Job Coach roles

📍 Northallerton & surrounding areas
⏰ 30 hours per week | 5 days
📅 Term time only | 39 weeks
💷 Actual salary: £26,000–£30,000
💷 FTE: £34,500–£40,000
Starting salary dependent on experience.

Flexible working hours are available:
⏰ 8.45am–3.15pm with a 30-minute lunch
OR
⏰ 9.00am–3.00pm without a lunch break – ideal if you need working hours that fit around school runs.

These roles are about much more than education. You’ll be helping young people with SEND build confidence, develop real-world skills, access employment opportunities and take important steps towards greater independence.

This morning during English we have been learning about Collective Nouns. The students then went on to create their own drawings using their imaginations, such as a school of fish, a band of gorillas and a kaleidoscope of butterflies. 🦋🐠🏫

Yesterday was a fantastic morning of Work experience for our second year students.

Thank you Dawn, for the opportunity to collaborate, coming along to Ironed Out has given the students a great insight into how a small business operates. It has been a valuable opportunity for the students to work alongside one and other and learn new skills.

This afternoon we had a lovely local walk at Stewart Park exploring and enjoying the sunshine. 🌳 🌞

Our Year 1 students have had a fantastic morning on work experience this morning with Dawn Andrews at Ironed Out.

Dawn is one of our fabulous parents and this opportunity was absolutely wonderful, Thank you so much.

It has helped the students develop important life skills, using washing machines, ironing, working as part of a team, performing vehicle checks and serving customers. It was a fabulous experience for all of the students involved.

The Year 2 students will see you tomorrow. ☺️
