Happy 23rd Birthday Parkway Day Nursery

30/08/2026

Week 5 of holiday club! So much fun had on our water day, especially getting the staff absolutely soaked 🤣☔️ we made some huge bubbles and loved our target shooting with the water guns. Day 2 was our trip to kirkleatham where we visited the museum, the owl centre, attended an arts and craft session then of course a trip to the park. The children were fantastic and we managed to dodge all the rain! Finally a day of paper mache crafting, obstacle courses and how can we forget Kirsty’s hair salon 🩷💙

🌼 Welcome Back to a New Term at Parkway Day Nursery! 🌼
We’re so excited to welcome all our new and returning children as we begin a brand‑new term together. 💛✨
Over the summer, our team has been busy refreshing some of our learning areas and updating a range of resources to create inspiring spaces ready for play, exploration and discovery. The rooms are looking wonderful — calm, inviting and full of opportunities for curious little minds.
We can’t wait for you to see the video and share in the excitement as the children settle back in. Here’s to a term filled with learning, laughter and lots of new adventures. 🌈

Week 4 - Time flys when you’re having fun! We started the week with lots of fun on the field at our Parkway sports day, even the staff were feeling competitive 😂. Day 2 we did some beautiful stain glass painting and finished the afternoon off in the sunshine with a bbq. Last but not least we went to World of play for our weekly trip where we enjoyed a delicious hot meal, lots of cold drinks and a cheeky ice cream to keep us cool 😎🍦

And just like that week 2 & 3 complete. We have had a fun packed time visiting Preston park, exploring science and making some debatable slime 🤣. We had a lovely visit from the pottery barn where the children designed their own pottery before it was taken away to go in the kiln and lots of sports and trips to the onsite park.

Week 3 we enjoyed playing fair ground games including hook a duck and we had our very own coconut shy. We made chocolate crispie cakes, decorated biscuits and got to eat them for tea. Our weekly trip was Saltburn where we visited Valley gardens, ate lunch at the park and had a great time in the rock pools at the beach. We ended the week making tie die t.shirts and made pizzas/fruit kebabs before settling down to a movie 🍿 🎥.

We look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming weeks, t.shirts and pottery will be available to collect this week so please call in 💙🩷

First week at holiday club done 🌞. We have had so much fun and it has been amazing to see so many new faces. We started off the week with a nature hunt and then used all the items we found to design our own sculptures and collages. Then we had a lovely walk to Stewart’s park with a visit to the play park, the information centre and of course an ice cream to keep us cool 🍦. Finally we spent the last day designing our own kites and getting to fly them in the afternoon despite the lack of wind 🪁.
We are really looking forward to week 2 ……
