Today we celebrate the life of St Francis, a joyful witness to simplicity, humility, peace and love for all of God’s creation. His life reminds us that true richness is found not in what we possess, but in how generously we love and serve others.

May we follow his example by caring for our common home, reaching out to those in need, choosing peace over conflict and seeing God’s presence in every person and every part of creation. 🌍❤️

Today, leaders from across the Diocese of Middlesbrough come together in York for the 2026 Leadership Conference, focused on the theme of Encounter.

The day will explore transformational encounters, Catholic Social Teaching and the role of hope in leadership, with keynote sessions from Sister Judith Russi.

We’re especially proud that pupils from Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust will lead the opening liturgy, helping to set the tone for a day of reflection, learning and shared mission.
