Elvis and Noel have made a cozy hot chocolate bath to keep warm in the cold weather 🍫🛁

Day 12

Elvis and Noel have been very excited to see some snow this weekend, it reminded them of their home in the North Pole ☃️

Whilst it’s super cold outside this week we will be having some cosy time, The Snowman has come to visit us in our Fairy Snug ☃️

Elvis and Noel are having a cheeky game of Elf twister today, maybe we could have a game of nursery twister too?

We will all enjoy the story together and then explore the themed activities around the room.

Last week our children had a fantastic time exploring the remembrance poppy and talking about our hero’s.

We made poppy hands,
created poppies using play dough,
filled in the missing dots on poppies,
explored the remembrance sensory tray,
created a poppy stained glass window,
took part in a 2 minute silence.

What a fun filled, busy week we had to start off the new half term.

Last week we celebrated Halloween with a spooktacular party, we made pumpkin chips and created a science project by composting and regrowing pumpkins in a jar 🎃

We also explored Bonfire Night with our current interest story “Sparks in the sky”. We talked about how to stay safe just like all the characters in the story.

Autumn is arriving and all the children are getting ready to go pumpkin picking 🎃

World Space Week 🪐

Last week at nursery we were busy exploring World Space Week with some exciting activities that have been out of this world.

We explored dry dusting planets, exploring meteorites, making aliens faces, mixing moon water and sharing our favourite space stories including Aliens Love Underpants.

It’s time! Applications for both reception and junior school places for September 2023 are now OPEN!

Don’t forget to get your application in before the closing date on 15th January 2023. Also, make sure to put the announcement date of 17th April 2023 in your diaries!

You can apply by visiting www.doncaster.gov.uk/admissions and clicking on ‘Primary Admissions’.

This applies to children whose birthdays fall on or between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019 for Reception, and those children whose birthdays fall on or between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 for Junior school.

PIRATE DAY 🏴‍☠️

What a fun filled pirate adventure we have been on today.

We have been busy dressing the pirates, making Pirate grog, exploring sailing the seas and using our best pirate voices.

What a wonderful start to our new academic year. We have all been busy getting to know our new friends and catching up with our returning children 🌼

We have had lots of fun exploring all of the sensory activities and role play, along with lots of singing 🎶

We are looking forward to a very exciting half term, starting with Pirate Day on Monday 🏴‍☠️
