Mevagissey School PTFA This page aims to communicate information about all PTFA fundraising events at Mevagissey School. Our PTFA is about much more than simply fundraising.

We are fortunate at our school to have a PTFA that is and has been
an integral part of the school community for many years. In its
time the PTFA has raised thousands of pounds, which has been
spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s
education experience and the school’s facilities. The PTFA
exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an
excellent way to bring

staff, parents and friends together socially
in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It is
fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or PTFA helpers! All parents and members of the school community are encouraged
to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time
available. All families are automatically members of the PTFA
when their child joins our school. The PTFA is extremely conscious of the ethos and diversity of our
school, and we try very hard when organising and planning events
to respect this. Not all of our events are run as fundraisers. Our
Christmas Cinema & Theatre trips and termly Community Tea
Parties are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and
as a way of thanking families for their continued support for the
PTFA.

Thank you to everyone that came to our fundraiser yesterday at Mevagissey Activity Centre. We raised £1033.37 with a little bit more still to come.

A big thank you to the ladies and Mr Blueberry that helped to organise, run stalls, set up and clear away. We couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you to Off Quay and One For The Road for providing the music.

Thank you to everyone that donated raffle, prizes and jars for the tombola.

Thank you to Mevagissey Community Fire Station who were on a call out but had offered to attend we really appreciate it.

Thank you to Mevagissey Coast Guard who attended and allowed the children to try on the equipment and had lots of useful information handing out.

Thank you to A New Chapter bookshop who provided goodie bags and some fabulous hedgehogs for the children.

Lastly a massive thank you to everyone that attended we hoped you enjoyed yourselves.

Tomorrow is the big day, and we would absolutely love your support! 💚

The Mevagissey School Fundraiser starts at 12pm, with an afternoon of LIVE MUSIC, family fun and fundraising, all helping us raise money towards our School Outdoor Project 🌿🌳

We’re looking for volunteers to help us make this fantastic community day a success! 🙌

There are lots of ways you could help, from helping on stalls and games, helping with the raffle or tombola, setting up, tidying up or simply lending a hand wherever needed throughout the day.
If you can spare an hour, a few hours or the whole afternoon, we would be incredibly grateful. ❤️
