WC 8/6/2026 - Dandelions🪴💛

Here’s what we’ve been upto -
🪴- Wild invitations to play - water play with dandelions and sliced lemons with different sized containers and pots of o sort the different parts of the flower.
💛- Wild invitations to play - Using foraged dandelions to stick onto card to make wildflower crowns.
🪴- Structures - creating a den out of sticks branches and logs to decorate for the bee’s.
💛- Movement - Forward rolls in the grass and looking at the dandelions when upside down.
🪴- Wild Urban - walking round our local area searching for dandelions growing in the cracks of the pavement litter picking whilst we search.
💛- Singing our dandelion song.

Here’s what we’ve been upto -
🪴- Indoor play invitation - Creating our own dandelion salt dough, and exploring with real dandelions, and seasonal rollers.
💛- Mud Kitchen - Using a pestle and mortar to create our own dandelion soup.
🪴- Heart: Free - Running freely through a field of dandelions, enjoying the wind in our hair and making dandelion wishes as we go.
💛- Literacy Opportunities - Breaking down dandelion flowers with a pestle and mortar then with the mushy flowers use the natural colours to paint numbers.
🪴- Mindful dandelion breathing.
💛- Mark Making - Observational painting of a Dandelion.

WC 01/06/2026 - Rainbows🌈🤍

Here’s what we’ve been upto -
🌈- Wild Beach - Heading to the riverside and using some water-colour paints to add colour to the seashells.
🤍- Structures - Creating a structure outside using different coloured play silks and pegs, and having quiet time, reading our favourite books about colour.
🌈- Heart: Beauty - Going on a walk to look for tiny and beautiful flowers, and looking at the flowers through a magnifying glass.
🤍- Alfresco Dining - Making some rainbow fruit salad with different fruits and enjoying outdoors.
🌈- Mark Making - Reflecting colours onto paper and mark making with coloured pencils.
🤍- Crates - An invitation to make rainbow tea.

WC 25/05/2026 - Dandelions🪴💛

Here’s what we’ve been upto -
🪴- Outdoor play invitation - Creating our own dandelion salt dough, and exploring with real dandelions, flower cutters and seasonal rollers.
💛- Barefoot - Laying down on the grass and tickling bare toes with both dandelion heads, leaves and seed heads.
🪴- Heart: Free - Running freely through a field of dandelions, enjoying the wind in our hair and making dandelion wishes as we go.
💛- Alfresco dining - Sharing some dandelion biscuits with friends while sat on the grass. Sipping some dandelion juice to accompany our biscuits.
🪴- Tuff tray - An open ended invitation to make some delicious dandelion salad.
💛- Mark Making - Dipping sliced cardboard rolls into paint, and dabbing to create dandelion petals.
🪴- Crates - An invitation to explore and investigate dandelions.

Here’s what we’ve been upto -
🪴- Hook - Visiting a field of dandelions and taking our time to explore it at a slow pace.
💛- Wild ITP - Add petals to a tray with water, along with some sliced lemons, and providing containers of different sizes and to explore.
🪴- Your window - Using window paints to draw dandelions. Spraying it with water and washing it away when finished.
💛- Wild ITP - Using water and paint brushes to create observational dandelion pictures on river pebbles.
🪴- Mud kitchen - A yellow/dandelion themed mud kitchen.
💛- Mark Making - Dipping sliced cardboard rolls into paint, and dabbing to create dandelion petals.
🪴- Crates - An invitation to explore and investigate dandelions.
