RESULTS DAY!

Our Blwyddyn 11 have had to contend with some tough bumps in the road on their educational journey at PYD but that has not stopped them from becoming super talented, super resilient and no doubt, super successful!

I am so lucky to have taught this wonderful cohort. Thank you for being fun, hard working and dedicated throughout.

Looking back at all you’ve achieved, before you pick up your results tomorrow, should be enough to make you feel proud.

I can’t wait to see what the future brings for you all!☀️

Genre: Theatre of Cruelty

WJEC Stimulus: Kronos Carrying Time

Techniques used: Screams, shadows, repetition, grotesque body movements, attack the audience's senses, extreme lighting states and creating a sense of fear through emotion in the audience.

Title: Let Him Have It! 🔫⛓🩸

Genre: TIE

WJEC Stimulus: Kronos Carrying Time

Techniques used: Based on the socio-political issues surrounding capital punishment. Representational/ minimal set, sounds on stage, direct address and V-Effect.

Techniques used: Multi- role, representational props, minimal/ multipurpose set, neutral zone, sounds on stage, audience engagement/ interaction, direct address and placards.

Genre: TIE

WJEC Stimulus: "The Golden Rule"

Techniques used: The piece was educational as well as entertaining. Spass, multi- role, representational costumes, minimal/ multipurpose set, neutral zone, sounds on stage, gestus, direct address and lots of socio-political issues from different perspectives explored.

WJEC Stimulus: Kronos Carrying Time

Techniques used: Blurring the lines of theatre and dance, bringing the outside in, laying bare emotions on stage, repetition, pushing actors to the their limits, physical story telling and breaking down the fourth wall.
