If you want to build strength and improve your stamina in yoga and Pilates, focus on consistency over intensity.
⭐ Hold poses for a little longer to build muscular endurance.
⭐ Slow down your transitions and move with control.
⭐ Use your breath to support movement rather than rushing through sequences.
⭐ Challenge your balance – standing poses engage your core and stabilising muscles.
⭐ Repeat key sequences regularly so your body can adapt and become stronger.
⭐ Most importantly, keep showing up. You don’t need to be perfect; you just need to be consistent.
Strength in Yoga and Pilates isn’t about lifting the heaviest weight. It’s about creating a body that is strong, stable, resilient and able to move with confidence.

Sorry folks… after a weekend of playing around on Reformers, I’ve come to a conclusion: Mat Pilates has my heart! ❤️
I’ve had a fantastic time learning, exploring new movements and challenging myself, but there’s just something about the simplicity and accessibility of the mat that keeps bringing me back.

Day 1 of a lovely Reformer workshop at Rise Studio, Chew Valley. 🌿
Set in the most beautiful surroundings next to a farm shop, it’s been a fantastic day of learning, movement and great company.
I’ll admit I’m still not entirely convinced by the Reformer as a piece of equipment (don’t come for me! 😅), but I’m enjoying learning the exercises, exploring different teaching approaches, and keeping an open mind.
One thing I do firmly believe in is never stopping learning. Whether it’s developing my coaching skills, trying new methods, or investing in my own fitness, there’s always something new to take away.
Looking forward to seeing what Day 2 brings!

At The Factory London today delivering Level 3 Mat Pilates assessments. This is always one of the most rewarding parts of the process - seeing learners apply their knowledge, build confidence and deliver in a real environment.

Wha do you do when there’s no leg machines free? Uuuuurgh. Cheers to my for swapping the all out for plyo. .
I stand by my statement: no one over 40 needs to do burpees.
Wha did we do? 5 x 11 sets of burpees ☠️.
As I said. No one over 40 needs to do burpees.
Now if all the PTs could GET OFF all the leg machines that would be super thanks 😘.
