IOW Day 3: Yesterday was another fantastic day on the Isle of Wight! Year 6 enjoyed a scenic boat trip, took a ride on the cable car, spent some time having fun in the arcade, and rounded off the day with a great evening at the theatre.
To make the day even more special, we celebrated two birthdays with plenty of smiles, laughter, and memories to treasure. 🎉🎂 They also cheered on England together – ⚽

At our recent end of year awards assembly we announced a brand new award for Furzefield Primary Academy.
Early on in the academic year, we sadly lost a much loved and valued colleague, Hayley Young. Hayley brought so much joy to the lives of children and staff. In honour of her memory we have dedicated an annual award to recognise outstanding pupil achievement in the field of the Arts - something that brought a lot of joy to Miss Young. It was a special moment for our award winner and a fitting tribute to a colleague who we all miss enormously.
This will be something that we will now look forward to celebrating, along with fond memories of Hayley Young, every year at Furzefield going forward.

IOW Day 1: Year 6 had a great start to their residential yesterday, ferry ride, exploring dinosaurs and a trip to the beach. It's looking to be a great week!

A fitting send-off for our Year 6 Leavers last week. Our incredible staff put together an amazing event, complete with red carpet, awards ceremony, photo booth, karaoke and disco! They all had an amazing time, suitably tired and ready for bed by the end of the evening! 6
