Workshop Fever ✌️

Getting to run brewing workshops all weekend Brighton Coffee Festival ® was a delight!

Getting to train groups of 8 people all with varying levels of coffee training or in some instances not even made a coffee at home, this was a great way for me to hone my skills.

We went through the classic V60, to a more ornate Origami, to finishing on our Aeropress acrobatics!

The key phrase I said at the festival;

“If the coffee isn’t wet, what’s the point?”

Make sure you get all your coffee wet or you’re wasting your time and money.

SCA UK Chapter Elections are now open and I’m running for Education Co-Ordinator.

I help people and businesses achieve their best through coffee, whether they’re launching new ventures, developing existing teams, or building confidence and technical skills behind the bar.

With 16 years of experience in hospitality, I have worked across training, operations and product development, with a strong focus on helping people and equipment perform to their full potential.

Having been accepted as a non-elected committee member this year, it would be an honour to continue serving over the next three years in this official role. I am passionate about helping build, develop and promote coffee competitions across the country, creating more opportunities for competitors, volunteers and the wider coffee community to get involved.

With your vote, we can continue the incredible work of the last 3 years.

Sponsoring the UKBC’s has been a career highlight, and one I’m so proud of. Not only that, but we get to celebrate the best baristas across the country as they battle it out on stage for the illustrious title of UK champion.

Having joined the SCA UK Chapter Chapter as part of the committee this year, I had the opportunity to sponsor the most prestigious coffee competition in the country. To have my name alongside some juggernauts of the industry has put into perspective just how far I’ve developed the business.

Training Complete ✌️

were a real delight to train!

Whenever you enter into a training session you’re not sure what enthusiasm you might encounter and there was no lack of it here. Asking all the right questions and wanting to make the best coffee possible for their clients.

Tell you what, if I had a flat white here I may just end up booking a holiday to Hawaii alongside it.

2 weeks at Wimbledon serving up iced lattes like no tomorrow for / 🔥

Finally got my face on a cappuccino and I have to say it tasted delicious … is that weird!?

Incredible team effort working alongside some legends and getting to serve a few celebrities on the way.

Thank you to everyone that has made this year so special!

We’re halfway through and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for you in Q3/ Q4 (love me some corpo chat) so I’ll see you all then!

I turn 34 tomorrow ( holy sh*t ) and I’ll be celebrating as best man at my friend’s wedding. What a way to kick off the holiday and then on to a trip to Dundee 🫶 any recommendations let me know.

5 Years of LCF representing 🫶

10 years a visitor, 5 years on the stands.

To have made it to five as my own small company is a huge feat that I’d never have imagined.

As much as my business is a lone venture it’s really because of the people I’ve been lucky to surround myself around.

Growing up in a single parent household on benefits, you don’t think you’ll ever get up to much, be that educational or entrepreneurial. I have so much to be grateful for and I remind myself everyday of that, as I truly am lucky.

Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement over these five years!! 🫶
