There’s so much more to junior coaching than just coaching children ‘the basics…’ this is what I’ve been up to this week
Creating an enjoyable & playful environment for children 12 & under with games, skills and play on the course. Everyone is looked after, allowing children to express themselves by making their own games, playing with lots of other children all whilst having our amazing leaders as role models 👌
For many, group environments aren’t suitable and they need a little extra 121 support. I’ve introduced golf to many for the first time. Showing them what golf has to offer, hopefully going away with an excitement to play and find out more
Individual coaching sessions for those who have the drive to become great golfers! Gently nudging them in the right direction to improve their techniques & practice routines, all whilst using sensible and realistic process goals

6,500 children, 21 schools, 10 broken golf clubs and 1 tired golf coach 🎉
After 15 years of going into schools, I’m really proud of what we now deliver. Every child is having a go and experiencing real golf and that’s exactly what we’ve been aiming to achieve.
The absolute highlights of going into a school is hearing beforehand from the teachers that a certain child rarely joins in PE activities so they don’t expect them to join in….and then seeing that child get involved and play golf. It really shows golf can be for everyone and that is the magic of this great sport ❤️
Can’t wait to go again next year!
…on a side note, one big learning from this year is plastic golf clubs don’t hold up well in the heatwaves!

Away Days are the best! Little trip down the road to Lea Marston to play on the course. No pressure, everyone welcome, just come along and spend time on the course with other children & families. Parents of course welcome to play too
