Final speaker announcement, and what an announced it is.

Richard is currently a Workshop supervisor
and Senior armature maker at Mackinnon
and Saunders Ltd, an internationally
acclaimed company famous for creating
award winning animation puppets for film,
television and commercials.

CV includes Tim Burton's Co**se Bride and
Frankenweenie, Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr
Fox, Coraline and Guillermo del Toro's
Pinocchio.

During the 25 years he has worked in the
industry, he has learnt a broad spectrum of
design and construction techniques and has
specialised in engineering body armatures
and head mechanics for stop motion
puppets.

In recent years he has been heavily involved
with projects which have combined
traditional making techniques with digital
and 3-d printing technologies

It was a pleasure to collaborate with to provide a design brief and support to product design students as part of the 6th form project. Here they are showing their outputs to offer new product ideas to chilli penguin at the project showcase. A huge thank you for the team at chilli penguin for providing a site visit and showing their design and engineering capabilities.
Their final concept was a home smoker.
