Come on down to the Deben Community Farm on Saturday 17 December, 10am - 2pm for a Christmas Fair with a difference! Toast marshmallows over a campfire and make your own s'mores or why not create some forest Christmas decorations to decorate your tree, visit Santa in his grotto, meet the animals or have a hot chocolate by the campfire. Take time out from the Christmas shopping and have some fun instead! FREE ENTRY.

👑J u b i l e e C e l e b r a t i o n s👑

Wow...

What a fun week we have had celebrating the Queens Jubilee. We have had tea parties, listened to stories, watched videos, exolored arts and crafts, investifsted messy play and so many other fabulous activities.

Look at how much fun the children are having...

🇬🇧👑 A f t e r n o o n T e a 👑🇬🇧

The children have thoroughly enjoyed the Jubilee afternoon tea. Each child self selected their own lunch and sat with their friends and staff whilst enjoying each others conversation and learning about one another.

This morning the children have been excited to explore rice sensory play, making their very own crowns and having a party in the garden whilst enjoying this lovely sunny weather 🇬🇧🤎

🇬🇧👑 Jubilee celebrations 👑🇬🇧

The children have been busy today both at preschool and at Forest School...

At pre-school, the children have been busy baking cheese and marmite swirls and fresh fruit scones in preparation for our afternoon tea tomorrow.
They have also enjoyed exploring making their own flags and engaging in royal role play opportunities.

At Forest Schools the children have thoroughly enjoyed mud play, making jubilee flags and sticks and planting peas in the raised beds.

What an amazing day everyone has had! ❤🤍💙

🌻🐝 WORLD BEE DAY 🌻🐝

Today we’re celebrating World Bee Day! 🐝

The main purpose of World Bee Day is to spread awareness of the significance of bees and other pollinators for our survival.

Here’s some of our experiences set up today. The children are having fun playing, supporting their motor skills & learning all about pollination & how bees pollinate flowers, which help us to grow fruits and vegetables. 🌻🌱🌏

💜 W h a t a t r e a t. . .

This morning the children were so lucky to have met a lovely local lady for a cupcake decorating/sandwich making session 🎂

Mandy from Aunty Mandys Afternoon Tea joined us to have a mini afternoon tea party with the children.

The children were able to decorate cupcakes, gingerbread men and even made their own sandwiches 🥪

The children enjoyed tasting their own creations and even have a few treats to take home!

Before Mandy left she read a favourite story of ours - "The tiger who came to tea" - what a lovely way to end a great session ☺

A HUGE thank you to both Mandy and Dawny for their time and resources this morning - it was truly wonderful for the children to take part in and experience ☺

To our surprise we found a fantastic paper wasp nest hiding in our growing area! 🐝
