The University of Birmingham is looking for parents and carers of young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) to complete a survey shating your views on what is needed to ensure healthy lives and meaningful inclusion. If you would like to contribute to the study, follow the link below 👇🏼

If you are a carer of a person with a profound learning and multiple disability (PMLD) aged 14 or over and you are over 18 please consider taking part in this online survey that we are supporting alongside other carer-led organisations across the UK.

Many of you will remember the COVID-19 pandemic UK-wide survey about the impact of COVID on people with a learning disability and their families and the restrictions that were put in place. The findings from several phases of this research were and continue to be really useful.

The team are now building on this and are doing a survey specifically looking at the life and well-being of people with PMLD, and how we can best support them in the future. We are supporting this research because we believe it is an important way for carers to help shape research, policy and practice.

Today, we are incredibly proud of our Year 11 and Post 16 students as they celebrate receiving their GCSE, Entry Level and Vocational qualification results.

These achievements are the result of their hard work, resilience, determination and commitment throughout their studies. They have embraced challenges, persevered through setbacks and demonstrated fantastic personal growth along the way. We are delighted to see their efforts rewarded with an outstanding set of results.

We would also like to recognise the dedication of our exceptional staff, whose unwavering support, encouragement and expertise have helped our students achieve their full potential.

Congratulations to every student on this well-deserved success. We wish them every happiness and success as they take their next steps with confidence and pride! 🎉

Exam results will be available for collection from 9am this Thursday at Birch Wood Vale. Results will also be emailed out to families.

We are so proud of all our pupils who took exams this summer and we look forward to celebrating their hard earned results with them!🥳
