Did you know you can help raise money for our school while you do your everyday shopping, without spending anything extra? 👀

My School Fund is a FREE cashback scheme where, when you shop with participating retailers, 1% of your spend goes directly to our school and 2% comes back to you as a reward (T&Cs apply).

It might not sound like much at first, but if lots of our families sign up and use it regularly, those little amounts can really add up and make a difference to what we can provide for our children.

All you need to do is register with My School Fund and link your account to our school. You can add up to 5 payment cards and then simply shop as normal at participating retailers such as Sainsbury’s and Argos.

Your 2% reward builds up over time and can be redeemed for for e-gift cards to spend online or in-store.

Just a little reminder that this Friday (18th) is the deadline for our FoSMS logo design competition.

Here is a throwback to our winning designs from the last few years 👇

Don’t forget — if you can’t print the entry form that was emailed out with the Friday Flyer the other week, that’s absolutely fine! You can simply use a plain piece of paper to create your design.

Just make sure your name and year group are written on the back so we know who our budding artists are.

We’ve been asked to share this as it may be helpful to some St Mary’s families who are struggling with wraparound care.

Woodlands will be trialling breakfast and teatime Clubs for St Mary’s pupils from 21st September until 18th December, with a view to making the provision long-term if there is enough uptake (i.e adding an extra minibus).

Can't make the meeting? Or do after-school meetings just not fit in with work, childcare or general life? Don't worry — being able to attend meetings isn't essential to being part of the FoSMS team ☺️

We already have members who aren't able to make meetings, so we also have a group chat to make sure everyone can stay in the loop and still be involved.

If you'd still like to be part of the team but can't commit to attending meetings, please just pop us a message 💚

Calling all budding artists and designers......we're on the hunt for a brand-new FoSMS logo, and who better to create it than one of our very own pupils?!

Each year, we invite the children to put their creative skills to the test and design a logo for us. This is your chance to showcase your imagination, get creative and leave your mark on our school. Your design should include the word 'FoSMS'.

📅 Please return all entries to school by 18th September. Don't forget to put your name and class on the back!

Our favourite design will be chosen at our next meeting on 29th September. As well as your logo being used on our posters, letters and social media for the next year, you will also win a prize ✨️

🎂 WE NEED YOUR HELP 🎂

The first Friday of every month is our Cake Raffle! We’re looking for parents, grandparents, carers or anyone in our school community who could bake or provide a cake each month.

Our committee members have been covering the cakes, but this is becoming increasingly difficult (understandably, we all have busy lives).

You do not need to be the next Star Baker 😂 if baking isn’t your thing, you’re more than welcome to pick up a cake instead. The only stipulation is that it must be NUT FREE please.

All money raised from our cake raffles goes directly towards our fundraising for the school.

Without some new volunteers coming forward, we may sadly have to consider reducing our cake raffles.

We have the September raffle covered, but have another 10 we need to fill 🙏
