Oasis Preschool and Retreat Oasis offers an excellent Pre-school; alongside a Specialist Retreat for children with SEN needs We also run holiday activities for parents and their children.

Oasis Family Centre offers an excellent pre-school learning environment and also a specialist unit callled The Retreat. It educates and nurtures children through play experiences from, 2yrs to 5yrs.

Maths is such an important part of the early years curriculum. In our Maths area today the children were counting how many Pom poms they could feed the bears . They also used the numbers to match and count, then continued counting when on the play-dough table. It is so rewarding being part of their scaffolding and extending their knowledge and understanding ❤️

The next FREE Local Offer SEND Roadshow is taking place at County Hall later this month:

Members Lounge, County Hall. Glenfield, LE3 8HD
This is an extra special event where we encourage children and young people to attend with their parents/carers and have some fun!

As well as the usual information stalls there will also be exciting ‘have a go’ activities to get involved with delivered by colleagues from Leicestershire Youth and Justice Service as well as partners of the Local Offer.

The Roadshow brings together information and services which support families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, all in one place.

It provides an opportunity to meet and chat with representatives from Leicestershire County Council and its partners, face to face.

As you may be aware Gary the African snail died over the summer🙁we explained it to some of the children yesterday, and then talked about death and read a book together. Later on the children with Isabel then investigated our new snail, they all voted and decided this snail would be called Gary 2!!!🐌🐌
