We were proud to celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday by creating a giant “100” on our school field with all 446 pupils! 🌍🌿

Children also helped create a special video celebrating his incredible life’s work inspiring generations to care for our planet.

🍰Cake Sale TODAY from 3.00pm on the KS2 playground (near the outdoor gym equipment)🧁
Thank you to those parents who have donated to Jennifer and Marnie's cake sale to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. A recent diagnosis in their family has inspired them to organise this cake sale. Cakes will be between 50p-£1.00. They will also have a QR code for those of you who want to purchase/donate if you don't carry cash.

Exciting Easter event
Join the Kick Up The Arts team on the 19th of April for 1-hour Easter themed creative sessions designed just for kids this Easter Half Term! Create Easter clay creations, Decoupage Egg Designing, Bunny Pom-Poms and Masks. £12 per child. All materials and equipment provided. 🧁 CAKE SALE Friday 7th March 🍰
Good afternoon
As we look forward to next week, I wanted to share some news about a cake sale coming up next Friday 7th March.
Sister, Marnie and Jennifer in 4KM, came to me to ask me if they could run a cake stall to raise money for Cancer Research UK (Breast Cancer) and try to earn their Gold Blue Peter Badge in the process. I of course said yes as I was truly moved by their request and knew that the Sherard School Community would be right behind them. At first, they had volunteered their mum to make all the cakes, but I suggested we ask the Sherard Community for any donations. They have set themselves a £200 target.
So, on Friday 7th March from 3.00pm, Marnie and Jennifer along with their family, will be setting up shop on the KS2 playground, near the Meadow Way entrance. If the weather is not on our side, the sale will take place in the large hall.
They would welcome all donations, both homemade and shop bought, of cakes, biscuits, savoury snacks/treat. If you donate homemade produce, please can you label the ingredients and drop off at the school office from Thursday 6th March. Please be aware that we are limited on fridge space in school so if your donations require refrigerating, please drop off on Friday afternoon. The girls have organised a QR code for those who want to pay online.
They hope to see you there.

Parents evening and INSET day 24.02.2025
As Parents Evening dates were sent out at the beginning of the year, I wanted to keep this date even though additional INSET days were set recently by the MET. Therefore, Parents evening will still take place on 24.02.2025.
