After-School Clubs Autumn 1 - Have you signed your child up yet?

Our Autumn 1 after-school clubs offer a wonderful opportunity for children to explore new interests, build confidence and have fun with friends.

From creative activities to sporting opportunities, there's something for everyone! Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please remember to book your child's place through Arbor.

🌿 Improvements to our outdoor spaces continue! 🌿

We are delighted to share that the pond area has now been refreshed with a new layer of bark chippings, helping to enhance both the appearance and accessibility of this important outdoor learning space.

A huge thank you to our fantastic group of volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to undertake the work. Their efforts have made a real difference and are helping us create attractive, welcoming environments for our children to enjoy and explore.

And the improvements don't stop there! Next week, we will be adding gravel around the pond to create a shallow banking area, providing easier access for wildlife and helping to make the pond an even more supportive habitat for local species.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our school community as we work together to improve our outdoor spaces 💚

The Fresh Face of Frisby continues!

A huge thank you to one of our wonderful parents who has been busy jet washing the front of the school. The results are absolutely amazing and have made such a difference already!

We're also making great progress with the fence painting, which is nearly complete and looking fantastic.

It's wonderful to see our school community coming together to help make Frisby look its very best. Thank you to everyone who has given their time and support. We can't wait to share more updates as the transformation continues! 💚 Rise Multi Academy Trust

🌿 Fresh Face of Frisby – what a fantastic start! 🌿

Yesterday, members of our wonderful school community came together to begin work on improving our school grounds as part of our 'Fresh Face of Frisby' initiative. Staff, members of the central team, parents, pupils, governors, local business volunteers and villagers all rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in - and what an incredible difference was made in just one day!

We are absolutely delighted with how much was achieved. The transformation already is amazing, and it was fantastic to see so many people working together with such enthusiasm and community spirit.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help. Your hard work, energy and commitment to our school are so greatly appreciated. We couldn't do it without you.

The work continues! We will be meeting again at 5.30pm on Tuesday 4th August to begin mulching the pond area. If anyone would like to join us, we'd love to see you there - and if you happen to have a wheelbarrow, please bring it along!

Frisby CE Primary School came alive with colour, community spirit and heartfelt remembrance as pupils, staff and families took part in a special Colour Stroll in aid of Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, held in loving memory of former pupil, Erinne.

The school grounds were transformed into a sea of colour as everyone came together to celebrate Erinne's life and the joy she brought to those around her. Purple balloons were released as a touching tribute, and the event was filled with laughter, encouragement and togetherness as participants completed the sponsored stroll.

Rainbows Hospice provided exceptional care and support to Erinne and her family throughout her illness, making this fundraising event especially meaningful. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the school community, an amazing £2,221.30 was raised to help Rainbows continue providing vital care, comfort and support to babies, children, young people and their families facing life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated and helped organise such a special day. Your kindness has honoured Erinne's memory in the most wonderful way and will make a real difference to families who rely on the incredible support of Rainbows Hospice 💜

As you leave us to take the next exciting step in your education, we want to say how incredibly proud we are of each and every one of you. You have worked hard, grown in confidence, made wonderful memories, and left your mark on our school.

While we are sad to see you go, we know you are ready for the adventures and opportunities that lie ahead. Keep believing in yourselves, be brave, work hard, and never stop being the amazing young people you are.

Celebrating Our Mission: Thrive and Shine – Friendship!

Yesterday, we were delighted to award certificates to the children who took part in our Mission: Thrive and Shine – Friendship challenges during the summer term.

Throughout the term, our pupils have embraced a range of activities designed to promote kindness, friendship and community spirit. Some of the challenges they have completed include:

💚 Helping out around the home with everyday jobs
💚 Including others in games and activities, such as a picnic
💚 Showing kindness through compliments and thoughtful actions
💚 Working cooperatively with friends and classmates
💚 Leaving painted stones around the local community for others to discover and enjoy
💚 Planting bulbs in the community to help brighten shared spaces for everyone

The children demonstrated fantastic commitment to making a positive difference both in school and beyond. Depending on the number of challenges they completed, they were awarded a Silver, Gold or Platinum Certificate.

We are incredibly proud of every child who took part. Their enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to help others truly reflect the values of our Thrive and Shine programme.
