This morning was our final coffee morning of the year! Thank you everyone for all of your support this year, to all of our amazing volunteers who keep the coffee morning running and to everyone who has donated to our food hub. I would like to wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy, peaceful new year. See you all again on Friday 9th January. Mrs Bunting x

We are once again taking nominations for families who would like a christmas hamper. If you would like to be placed on the list please contact Mrs Bunting in school who will add you to the list. This list will then be passed on to the organisers who will be in contact if you have been successful.

Welcome back! Our first coffee morning of the new school year is tomorrow. Come and join us from 8.45am until 10.00am in the dining hall. Everyone is welcome to join us for a drink and cake. We also have the food and clothing hub open too. PLEASE NOTE - Please do not enter the dining hall until after 8.45 and access is not from the school playground but from behind the dining hall entrance on Kings Road.

🎅Friday the 13th December will be the last community coffee morning of the year. Thank you so much to all of our amazing volunteers who help to make the coffee morning so special. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all again in the new year. Our first coffee morning of the year will be on Friday 10th January 2025🎅

If you or someone you know is struggling this year, you can apply for a Christmas hamper, with thanks to Helping the Isolated and The Mowbray Education Trust. Due to dangerous conditions with ice this morning's coffee morning is cancelled. If you are in need of a food parcel please comment below and then come to the main office to collect, they will be available until 10.30am. The rear gates will not be open today.

ANGEL TREE 🎄

This year at The Steel Yard Gym, we will be holding an Angel Tree. This will be for children local to Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas who will very likely not receive any Christmas gifts this year 🎁

We know it’s early, but if you are struggling to purchase your children a Christmas present this year, please message us to ensure your child has a tag on our tree! 🎅🏻

The tags will be anonymous, you and your child/children will not be named or have any identifying information on it. Only the information about their gift 💝

Although there is absolutely no shame in reaching out to us and no need to feel embarrassed, we will keep your request completely confidential, only the 2 people who run our social media accounts will know, they are also the people organising the Angel Tree. If you don’t want to contact us, please feel free to ask a friend/relative to contact us on your behalf, again we will not press for any further information 😇

(Yes this is for anyone local to Melton Mowbray, not “members only”)

Once the tree goes up, anyone is welcome to come and take a tag and fulfil the wish of a child or as many as you’d like. We will also have a donation pot for those who wish to help but are unable to fulfil a tag for whatever reason. All of this money will go towards helping fulfils these tags or donated to a children’s charity once they are all completed 🎗️

We believe that Melton Mowbray has strong community values so please share this post to help spread the word and make sure that every child wakes up with a Christmas gift 🙏🏻

Please contact us by November 1st so we have plenty of time to get the tags ready and ensure people have enough time to help fulfil the wishes 🕰️
