Year Two have enjoyed two fabulous visits to Burton Beef in Highburton. The sun was shining on both days and the children's smiles show how much they enjoyed their visit to a working farm. Thanks to Farmer James for giving the children such a valuable insight into farming life, how to care for the animals on the farm. and the journey from field to fork.

Last week, some students from year 5 and year 6 took part in 'This Girl Can' organised by Pennine Sports Partnership . This was a fantastic event that encourages girls to have a go at a variety of sports in a supportive and inclusive environment. We had the opportunity to try out athletics, martial arts, rugby, hockey, cricket and netball.

A huge thank you to all the families who came along to our Sharing of Work Afternoon yesterday. The turnout was fantastic, the weather was beautiful, and the children loved showing their parents/carers everything they’ve achieved this year. We’re so proud of them, and we know you are too!

We had a fabulous sports day last week! The children gave their all and had a brilliant time, showing great teamwork, determination and plenty of smiles. Parents, carers and grandparents even joined in with races and a very competitive tug of war, which added to the fun! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported this lovely event, including the Student Ambassadors from Honley High School who also came to lend a hand. Your enthusiasm helped make the day really special.

Year Three have been thinking about healthy eating in DT. They have investigated the function and construction of food packaging, done some taste testing and designed some balanced sandwich snacks. This week, they made their sandwiches and enjoyed them in a picnic on the field.
